Arka Gurukul Students Explore the Rich Heritage of Tripura at Ujjayanta Palace

An Exciting Educational Excursion to the State Museum of Tripura

On 21st March 2025, a group of 13 enthusiastic students from Arka Gurukul embarked on an educational excursion to the iconic Ujjayanta Palace in Agartala. Originally built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya between 1899 and 1901, the palace now serves as the State Museum of Tripura, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

Accompanied by the Principal, Mrs. Tultul Chakraborty, and Mr. Nandan Chakraborty, the students explored the museum’s captivating exhibits. They were thrilled to witness the diverse displays reflecting the lifestyle, arts, culture, tradition, and utility crafts of North East India, with a special focus on Tripura. The students were particularly fascinated by the stone sculptures, coinage of the Manikya dynasty, and other historical artifacts that offered a glimpse into the region’s glorious past.

Beyond the museum, the students also enjoyed the serene outdoors of the palace premises, captivated by the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings. To add to the delightful experience, the students were provided with light refreshments during the excursion.

This enriching journey not only deepened their understanding of Tripura’s heritage but also created lasting memories of a historical adventure.
