Arkaneer Shines at the 35th Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair with Innovative Tech and Eco-Friendly Solutions

NB Institute for Rural Technology (Arkaneer) Showcases Cutting-Edge Green Technologies and Empowering Local Artisans at TI & CF 2025

The 35th Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair (TI & CF), held from 29th January to 12th February 2025 at the Agartala International Fair Ground in Hapania, Agartala, saw a dynamic participation from NB Institute for Rural Technology, also known as Arkaneer. With an eye-catching pavilion, Arkaneer showcased a variety of innovative and eco-friendly solutions aimed at promoting self-reliant entrepreneurship.

Visitors to the Arkaneer stall were captivated by an array of groundbreaking technologies. Among the highlights were the miniature model of a cost-effective house based on Ferro cement technology, lemongrass oil samples, and a variety of bamboo-based products, including solar-powered torch lights, garden lights, and solar module mounting structures. A major crowd-puller was the demonstration of the "Three-in-One Solar Krishak Umbrella," solar-powered spray machines, and the Micro Solar Dome.

The showcase’s main goal was to highlight the importance of green technologies and provide practical solutions for sustainable living and self-reliant businesses. Arkaneer’s initiative is rooted in empowering local entrepreneurs with affordable, eco-friendly technologies that can make a significant impact in rural areas.

Additionally, the eco-friendly bamboo ornaments crafted by artisans from Charilam, who received training under Arkaneer’s KVIC and SUNIL project, garnered significant attention. These products are a testament to Arkaneer’s commitment to supporting and empowering local artisans, making a positive difference in their livelihoods.

The fair was inaugurated on 29th January 2025 by the Honorable Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, alongside a panel of distinguished ministers from the state. In the valedictory program, the Honorable Finance Minister, Mr. Pranajit Singha Roy, visited the Arkaneer stall, further acknowledging the institute's role in fostering innovation and sustainable development in Tripura.

Arkaneer’s participation in the 35th Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair served as a platform to showcase their commitment to technological innovation, eco-friendly practices, and the empowerment of local communities through skill development and entrepreneurship.
