NBIRT Arkaneer Hosts Joyful Children’s Day Celebration with Creativity and Community Spirit

Sit and Draw Competition, Prize Distribution, and Thoughtful Speeches Make for a Memorable Event

On 14 November 2025, NBIRT Arkaneer celebrated Children’s Day with an engaging and heartwarming event that brought together children from various backgrounds and underscored the importance of nurturing young talent and protecting children's rights. Held at the NBIRT Arkaneer Complex, the day was filled with fun, creativity, and camaraderie.

The highlight of the day was a Sit and Draw Competition, which saw the participation of 21 children from Arka Gurukul and nearby areas of Sekerkote. Divided into three groups, the children eagerly took to their drawing boards, demonstrating impressive creativity and enthusiasm. To keep their energy high throughout the event, light refreshments, including chocolates, were provided.

The event was followed by a warm and enjoyable community lunch at the Arkaneer dining hall, where children, volunteers, and staff members came together to share in the celebration.

In the evening, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was held, attended by esteemed members of the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TCPCR). The distinguished guests included:

  • Mrs. Jayanti Debbarma, Chairperson, TCPCR

  • Mrs. Monica Debbarma, Member, TCPCR

  • Mr. Goutam Kumar Shil, Member, TCPCR

Representing NBIRT, several prominent figures shared their insights on the significance of Children’s Day and the need for a future that prioritizes the well-being and development of children:

  • Er. P. L. Ghosh, Technical Advisor, NBIRT

  • Adv. Abhijit GonChaudhuri, Honorary Secretary, NBIRT

  • Mr. Mohit Lal Acharjee, Honorary Treasurer, NBIRT

The speeches emphasized the importance of fostering creativity, protecting children's rights, and investing in the next generation. The event was expertly hosted by Ms. Debasmita Ganguly, Research Scholar at NBIRT, with Mr. Anup Dey, Project Officer at NBIRT, overseeing the event’s smooth coordination.

Each participant was presented with a certificate, memento, and pen as a token of appreciation for their creative efforts and enthusiastic participation.

The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving everyone with a sense of joy, unity, and pride in the collective effort to promote child welfare. The successful event reaffirmed NBIRT Arkaneer’s commitment to supporting and empowering children through creativity, education, and compassion.
