NBIRT Hosted "Sit and Draw" Competition in West Tripura
Over 300 Young Artists Participate in Creative Event at ARKANEER
On May 23, 2024, the NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT) organized a vibrant "Sit and Draw" competition at ARKANEER, Sekerkote, West Tripura. The event, which commenced at 9:00 AM, was open to school-going children aged 4 to 14 years, attracting approximately 348 participants from various schools.
To ensure fair competition, the students were categorized into three age groups: Group A (4 to 8 years), Group B (8+ to 11 years), and Group C (11+ to 14 years). The young artists were invited to express their creativity through drawings on the themes of "Village Mart" or "Rail".
The competition saw a large number of registrations, reflecting the enthusiastic response from the community. The event was graced by the presence of Special Guest Advocate Mr. Samir Ghosh, Chairman of the Tripura Tea Development Corporation. Mr. Ghosh commended NBIRT for their excellent organization and management of the event, expressing his pleasure with the arrangements.
As the event concluded, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to all participants, acknowledging their efforts and creativity. NBIRT announced that the date, place, and time for the Award Distribution ceremony would be communicated later. A total of 15 prizes will be awarded, with five winners from each category. The decisions made by the judges will be final.
The "Sit and Draw" competition exemplifies NBIRT's commitment to fostering creativity and providing enriching experiences for young students in rural areas.
