NBIRT Hosts Prize Distribution Ceremony for 2024 Sit and Draw Competition

Young Artists Honored for Creativity and Talent at ARKANEER

On June 16, 2024, the NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT), a leading institution in science and technology, celebrated the winners of the "Sit and Draw Competition 2024" at its ARKANEER campus. The competition, held on May 23, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from 340 students across various age groups.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests:

  1. Mr. Abhijit Bhattacharya, Principal of Government College of Art & Craft, as the Chief Guest

  2. Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Gonchoudhury, Honorable President of NBIRT

  3. Other esteemed members of NBIRT

Mr. Anup Dey, Project Officer at NBIRT, began the event by explaining the objectives and motives behind organizing such competitions, emphasizing the importance of fostering creativity and artistic expression among young students.

Prof. Gonchoudhury addressed the young participants, encouraging them to explore the fascinating elements of science and technology. The ceremony also featured a melodious "Najrulgeeti" performance by the students of ARKAGURUKUL, adding a cultural touch to the event.

Seventeen participants from three age groups (A: 4-8 years, B: 8+ to 11 years, C: 11+ to 14 years) emerged as winners of the competition. They were honored by the guests with certificates, mementos, medals, and painting materials, recognizing their exceptional talent and creativity.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. Kapil Baran Bhowmik, Vice President of NBIRT, who expressed gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers, bringing the ceremony to a successful close.

The prize distribution ceremony highlighted NBIRT's commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting artistic and scientific exploration among students, reinforcing its role as a pillar of educational and cultural development in the region.
